Chu Yunsheng’s actions weren’t necessary at all. Yin Zheng had been gradually accepting the situation during the past week, planning to navigate the circumstances to his advantage. Even if he suffered, it wouldn’t affect Chu Yunsheng significantly. A star who was already mired in controversies held little credibility in the industry.

Even if Chu Yunsheng had played around with him and trampled on his reputation, there wasn’t much Yin Zheng could do about it.

However, Chu Yunsheng went beyond expectations.

Yin Zheng couldn’t forget how Chu Yunsheng had come to his aid when he was unconscious and drugged.

He couldn’t let go of his sense of gratitude.

Yin Zheng held his phone and closed his eyes before checking his Weibo comments.

The top comments were still full of harsh insults, but Yin Zheng read each one methodically, his mood surprisingly calm.

He turned his gaze to the blue sky and white clouds outside the airplane window, feeling like he had miraculously escaped a dire situation.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the plane, Chu Yunsheng regretted returning Yin Zheng’s phone.

Because since Yin Zheng had reclaimed his mobile phone, from the moment they disembarked to entering their hotel in the imperial capital, Yin Zheng hadn’t looked up from his screen. It was as if he was trying to make up for the three months he had spent without his device.

Moreover, Yin Zheng’s fingers flew across the screen as he typed, giving off an air of excitement.

Chu Yunsheng was concerned that Yin Zheng might be embroiled in a dispute with someone. So, after showering at the hotel, he knocked on Yin Zheng’s door.

“Brother Chu, are you ready for lunch?”

Yin Zheng buried his head, opening the door and still looking somewhat dazed when he saw Chu Yunsheng.

Chu Yunsheng furrowed his brows and reached for Yin Zheng’s cell phone.

Yin Zheng immediately grew anxious and clutched the phone to his chest. However, his speed was no match for Chu Yunsheng’s.

Chu Yunsheng raised his hand and took possession of Yin Zheng’s phone.

“Brother Chu, that’s my phone!”

Yin Zheng was visibly distressed, sweat forming on the tip of his nose.

“You’re playing with your phone even when you’re so sleepy? Take a nap, I’ll order lunch…”

As Chu Yunsheng spoke, his eyes inadvertently glanced at the screen of Yin Zheng’s phone. What he saw left him momentarily tongue-tied.

His initial question quickly turned into one of puzzlement: “Brother Chu is smart, handsome, and highly capable. Why are you so concerned about a mere battery? My Brother Chu might just build a spaceship to the stars one day. Heck, my Brother Chu is eighteen, as radiant as a flower in youth. Curse you, Heizi, for smearing his reputation.”

Yin Zheng: “…”

The embarrassment of being publicly exposed was unbearable. He stammered, “Brother Chu, please don’t read those. I was just randomly ranting, and people were being really mean.”

“So you created a dummy account to pretend to be a fan and defend the comments?”

Chu Yunsheng looked at Yin Zheng with amusement as they sat on the sofa.

“It’s not that I wanted to, but my hands were hurting…”

Yin Zheng leaned back on the sofa, trying to relax. He said, “Brother Chu, you’re so talented. Can you hack? Could you make a little program for me that automatically counters the slander?”

Chu Yunsheng tapped his knee and said, “Sure.”

Yin Zheng’s eyes lit up.

However, Chu Yunsheng continued nonchalantly, “For a hundred thousand yuan. Fully automated, no repetition, based on justifiable and evidence-backed claims, and it’ll never get banned even if the IP address changes. Are you interested?”

Yin Zheng let out a despondent sigh, “Forget it, I don’t need the money, just my peace of mind.”

Chu Yunsheng looked at Yin Zheng and realized that he probably didn’t have much money at the moment.

As a celebrity, he spent a significant amount and didn’t save much. He had even sold his house to cover the breach of contract penalties and was now essentially penniless.

Thinking about the house, Chu Yunsheng suddenly remembered that Yin Zheng was likely without a place to stay.

In the original plot, Yin Zheng had stayed in a hotel during this period, but after that, he was locked up and mistreated by Chu Yunsheng. His subsequent overseas trip only became possible after he pilfered money from Chu Yunsheng.

Consequently, Yin Zheng had been living in a precarious situation since his contract was terminated.

Incidentally, reporters had found his previous residence, and Chu Yunsheng had been planning to move as well. Without thinking too much, he told Yin Zheng, “Tomorrow, I’m going to the research institute, and you and Yuan Meng should move.

Take your belongings and relocate to an apartment in the suburbs together. Tomorrow, I’ll ask Yuan Meng to pick you up; he’ll be your agent.”

Sensing that Yin Zheng was about to object, Chu Yunsheng quickly brainstormed and added before Yin Zheng could protest, “I’ve been having trouble sleeping lately. I really enjoy your hot milk, so staying close will make it convenient for me to have it.”

Yin Zheng gazed at Chu Yunsheng, covering his chest with a pillow from the sofa

A little itchy.

What the heck happened when MC transmigrated over. Can’t tell if the author is trying to gloss over OG MC drugging ML and MC SAing him or if something different happened.

In the original the OG CY drugged YZ ans took indecent photos of him but disn’t actually SA him bc OG CY wasn’t gay, according to our CY. So I think that our CY and YZ where both drugged (maybe by that old man that was briefly mentioned) and that’s why it’s different but our CY doesn’t know why it’s different and why they had sex instead of it just being photo’s. Idk, hopefully we find out the truth in the future.

Could also be a language-translation difficulty. CY technically did help him (professionally)😔 but yes it was right after the time YZ was drugged and unconscious. So the two events 1. Drugged 2. Helping did happen during the same day and it’s just a matter of phrasing that both events happened simultaneously.

Or maybe some form of Stockholm Syndrome
