Before eight o’clock the next morning, Chu Yunsheng departed from the hotel. He visited Yunsheng Technology to meet the research team and then drove to the Imperial Research Institute.

While en route, Chu Yunsheng called Yuan Meng and instructed him to pick up Yin Zheng from the hotel and help with the move.

Yuan Meng was taken aback: “Old Chu, are you planning to live with Yin Zheng? You don’t actually have feelings for Yin Zheng, do you? According to the information we gathered, Yin Zheng doesn’t like men. I even heard he had a relationship with the school beauty in high school! Don’t make a mistake!”

Chu Yunsheng raised an eyebrow, “He had a relationship with the school beauty?”

Yuan Meng sighed in exasperation, “That’s not the point. The point is Yin Zheng’s preference. Even if you bring him here, whether out of kindness or friendship, the relationship won’t last. He might end up disliking you and stepping all over you at some point…”

“You’re right.”

Chu Yunsheng interjected, silencing Yuan Meng.

Yuan Meng was stunned, a little surprised, pondering whether Chu Yunsheng had finally set aside his domineering CEO persona and was open to taking advice.

Yet, his joy was short-lived. The next moment, Chu Yunsheng’s calm voice came through the phone, “Your concerns are valid. In that case, prepare the bedroom next to mine for Yin Zheng, so he can stay in the second bedroom.”

Yuan Meng: “…”

If Yin Zheng stays in the second bedroom, where would he sleep? Does Chu Yunsheng expect him to share a bed with Yin Zheng?

Help!

Yuan Meng felt extremely frustrated, but before he could say anything, a busy tone sounded from the phone.

He stared at his phone for a few seconds and then wiped his face slowly.

No matter how indignant he was, it was the boss who paid his salary.

With a mix of bitterness and anger, Yuan Meng drove to the hotel where Chu Yunsheng and others were staying.

He picked up Yin Zheng, who had just woken up, helped with moving his belongings, and then headed to a high-end suburban apartment owned by Chu Yunsheng.

This high-end apartment boasted strong security and excellent privacy.

While Chu Yunsheng owned it, he used it sporadically since it was usually away from the city center. But this time, it was evidently different.

Yin Zheng and Yuan Meng spent nearly two hours driving.

Upon arrival, they found that the apartment had been thoroughly cleaned by housekeeping. Yuan Meng gave Yin Zheng the key and helped him move his things.

“Is this all you have?”

Yuan Meng rolled up his sleeves and opened several large cardboard boxes, looking surprised.

For a star, Yin Zheng had surprisingly few clothes and accessories.

Yin Zheng had known Yuan Meng from before, although not too well. However, given that they would become more acquainted in the future, he did not hide anything and replied with a smile, “A few days ago, I was running short on cash, so I sold some of my old stuff. I’m not picky, I just need a few outfits.”

After a brief pause while placing his belongings, Yuan Meng seriously examined Yin Zheng.

This was the first time they had interacted earnestly, and Yuan Meng suddenly realized that this young celebrity appeared to be very different from his initial impression.

After sorting the room, Yuan Meng ordered takeout and chatted with Yin Zheng about the crew during their meal.

After dinner, he handed Yin Zheng a contract.

“Lao Chu mentioned he wanted to sign you. Take a look at the contract and let me know if you have any concerns.”

Yuan Meng cleared the trash and said.

Yin Zheng read the contract, and after just one glance, his eyes registered shock and a mix of complicated emotions. “This contract… is modeled after the A-level contracts signed with other agencies?”

Yin Zheng offered a smile before Yuan Meng could respond, “My reputation has plummeted now, and I’m not worth such an investment. I can guess what Brother Chu is thinking. While I’m confident that I can rebuild my career one day, I don’t want Brother Chu to take such a risk. If the terms of this contract get out, it would be…”

Yin Zheng didn’t finish his sentence, but Yuan Meng, who had spent years in the entertainment industry, understood what he meant. If word got out that Chu Yunsheng’s studio had offered such favorable terms to a fallen artist, it would be perceived as a questionable deal, casting a shadow on both Chu Yunsheng and Yin Zheng.

Yin Zheng may be ready to face his own downfall, but he didn’t want Chu Yunsheng to be dragged down with him.

However, even amidst his own difficulties, Yin Zheng was still thinking of Chu Yunsheng, and that said a lot about the person Chu Yunsheng had decided to sign.

Yuan Meng’s heart, which had felt heavy due to Yin Zheng’s issues, lightened.

He smiled and assured Yin Zheng, “Don’t worry about that. Only the three of us know about this contract. And you should know what Old Chu is capable of. He may seem indifferent, but he’s very astute.”

“If you’re okay with the contract, go ahead and sign it. You’ll be the second artist at Chu Yunsheng Studio from now on, and we’ll provide you with full support in terms of resources.”

Yuan Meng said, pulled out a pen, and placed it in front of Yin Zheng.

A look of inner turmoil flashed across Yin Zheng’s face as he contemplated the significance of this contract.

His heart seemed to be burdened with a heavy weight, but he exhaled slowly, picked up the pen, and signed his name on the contract.

“Welcome to the team.”

Yuan Meng smiled and shook Yin Zheng’s hand.

Yin Zheng’s expression relaxed, and he shook Yuan Meng’s hand, smiling with his eyes, “I hope I can rely on Brother Chu and Brother Yuan for your guidance.”

With the contract signed, Yuan Meng left behind several scripts that Chu Yunsheng had screened for Yin Zheng and hurried back to the studio to attend to other tasks.

By around nine in the evening, Chu Yunsheng had completed his work at Yunsheng Technology and the Research Institute.

He took a taxi back to the apartment and was welcomed by the delightful aroma of a hot, mouthwatering meal.

Chu Yunsheng was pleasantly surprised and entered the kitchen to find out who was responsible for the wonderful scent.

Upon opening the partition door, the powerful aroma hit him, stinging his nose and eyes.

The person tending to the wok turned around at the sound. A pair of beautiful, and slightly teary eyes stared at Chu Yunsheng.

For a moment, the image of Yin Zheng, alluring and passionateLY in love, flitted through Chu Yunsheng’s mind.
